Paul-Armand Gette was born in Lyon in 1927 and died in Paris in 2024.

Since 1970, Paul-Armand Gette has been developing a unique body of work, fueled by a constant obsession with two themes: landscape and the concept of nature, as well as the study of the model. These are articulated through the female body and its possible metamorphoses, finding their perfect embodiment in the figure of the nymph—that woman-nature whom the artist borrows from Greek and Roman mythology.

Over the years, Paul-Armand Gette has thus forged a hedonistic and pagan universe populated by goddesses.
