Coat of Arms Bouquet: Queen of Barbados is a floral and perishable work specially created for the exhibition by floral designer Thomas Baldner.

The work depicts the official banner of Elizabeth II for Barbados, shifting a heraldic emblem of sovereignty into a fragile, ephemeral floral language.

Originally introduced in 1975 during Elizabeth II's Silver Jubilee Tour in the British colonies, the Queen's personal flag for Barbados was used as a sign of acknowledgement of her presence while travelling within the British Empire.

In the guise of a bouquet, an emblem thus becomes a natural composition subject to decay and ravages of time.
